SUMMARY:Ridgefield Pride in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Ridgefied’s seventh annual Pride in the Park celebration will take place on Saturday\, June 6th from 12 – 3 pm in Ballard Park\, 485 Main Street\, Ridgefield (Rain location: Yanity Gym) with a parade around the park starting at 1pm.   Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a free event\, open to the public and catering to families\, with a variety of activities\, crafts\, entertainment and informational tables geared towards all ages. \nIn addition to Pride in the Park\, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events throughout May\, June and July with something for everyone\, from our tiniest tots to our seniors. \nIn these times of social upheaval and division it is essential that we come together and support each other.  The LGBTQ community is one of our vulnerable populations\, and it is important that we work to lift people up rather than pull them down.  Ridgefield CT Pride provides just such an opportunity to do so\, so please come join us in celebrating the LGBTQ community. \nRidgefield CT Pride is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization that was created in 2019. \nPride in the Park Activities include:\nHair Flair Station\nLawn games (corn hole\, can jam\, hula hoops\, potato sac races\, giant size connect 4)\nCrafts: beading\, coloring\, nail painting\, button making\nKid-friendly activities (ie: ball pit\, temporary tattoo \, face painting\, nail painting\, coloring\, beading) balloon animals\nRainbow Family Storytime\nPhoto station\nBring your own picnic\nFree cotton candy \nEntertainment:\nDJ at the Gazebo\nLive Music at the Stage: Ridgefield Chorale\nMarch around the Park at 1pm

DESCRIPTION:Join Ridgefield CT Pride on Friday\, March 13\, from 7-9PM for our very first Sapphic Social event! Meet some new faces\, make connections\, and be part of our welcoming community. A wonderful and safe space for LGBTQ+ humans who identify as women to meet\, laugh\, and build friendships at this casual get together. This event is reserved for queer women\, 21 and older. \nOur hostess will have some light snacks and beverages\, but we encourage guests to bring an appetizer or beverage to share. Space is limited to the first 25 people who sign-up. You will be provided with the event address and parking instructions once you RSVP. If you sign up and are not able to attend\, please let us know as soon as possible so we can make room for others who are interested in attending. \nFor future SS events\, we will likely alternate between day and evening events and adult and kid-friendly events. These gatherings could be held at someone’s house\, or can be arranged as a meet-up or activity at a park\, apple picking\, a restaurant\, etc.\, where each person would be responsible for covering their own costs. \nIf you’d like to host\, let us know! We have a volunteer for April (a daytime kid-friendly event) and are looking for volunteers to host anytime between May and December. \nFor more information email ridgefieldctpride@gmail.com. .
