SUMMARY:Ridgefield Pride in the Park
DESCRIPTION:Ridgefied’s seventh annual Pride in the Park celebration will take place on Saturday\, June 6th from 12 – 3 pm in Ballard Park\, 485 Main Street\, Ridgefield (Rain location: Yanity Gym) with a parade around the park starting at 1pm.   Ridgefield Pride in the Park is a free event\, open to the public and catering to families\, with a variety of activities\, crafts\, entertainment and informational tables geared towards all ages. \nIn addition to Pride in the Park\, there will be a multitude of celebratory Pride events throughout May\, June and July with something for everyone\, from our tiniest tots to our seniors. \nIn these times of social upheaval and division it is essential that we come together and support each other.  The LGBTQ community is one of our vulnerable populations\, and it is important that we work to lift people up rather than pull them down.  Ridgefield CT Pride provides just such an opportunity to do so\, so please come join us in celebrating the LGBTQ community. \nRidgefield CT Pride is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization that was created in 2019. \nPride in the Park Activities include:\nHair Flair Station\nLawn games (corn hole\, can jam\, hula hoops\, potato sac races\, giant size connect 4)\nCrafts: beading\, coloring\, nail painting\, button making\nKid-friendly activities (ie: ball pit\, temporary tattoo \, face painting\, nail painting\, coloring\, beading) balloon animals\nRainbow Family Storytime\nPhoto station\nBring your own picnic\nFree cotton candy \nEntertainment:\nDJ at the Gazebo\nLive Music at the Stage: Ridgefield Chorale\nMarch around the Park at 1pm

Wear a rainbow outfit\, bring your friends and family\, and meet us in Ballard Park at 11:00 AM on Sat June 6 for a three-mile run/walk down Main St. Find the route on Strava here! There will be a celebratory t-shirt\, but please RSVP to reserve one. Stay afterwards as Ridgefield Pride in the Park kicks off at 12:00 PM! \nAltra will be demo-ing three shoes: the Escalante\, FWD VIA\, and the Experience Flow.
