Join us for an insightful evening as Jillian shares her powerful lived experiences as a transgender woman. This is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the transgender journey and celebrate the diverse voices within our community. We invite everyone to be a part of this important conversation. This talk will educate and bring awareness regarding the transgender/gender expansive population. Jillian will explore topics and issues based on her education\, experience in the field\, and lived personal experience. The audience will become familiar with what affirming healthcare looks like and the truths and misconceptions of gender affirming care. Basic language and terminology will also be discussed to develop an understanding of the transgender community. \nThis is a free event\, but registration is required. Register here.

DESCRIPTION:Join Wilton Pride and Wilton Library for the Second Annual Come Out & Run 5K celebrating PRIDE\, diversity\, inclusivity\, and the spirit of unity in honor of National Coming Out Day. \nCome Out & Run is a community collaboration between Wilton Library and Wilton Pride\, both non-profit organizations\, with the goal of bringing our community together in the spirit of unity and in celebration of PRIDE\, diversity\, and inclusivity. \nAll are welcome to this community-wide\, family friendly\, pet friendly\, event fostering camaraderie\, empowerment\, and\, most importantly\, support for our LGBTQIA+ community members and allies. Part 5K\, part community party\, the event will feature music\, festivities\, food\, flare\, prizes\, and much more.
