DESCRIPTION:Join Us for an Evening with Author Jillian Celentano. \nIn honor of Transgender Awareness Month\, Wilton Library and Wilton Pride are honored to host author Jillian Celentano for a special speaking engagement. Join us for an insightful evening as Jillian shares her powerful lived experiences as a transgender woman. This is a unique opportunity to gain a deeper understanding of the transgender journey and celebrate the diverse voices within our community. We invite everyone to be a part of this important conversation. This talk will educate and bring awareness regarding the transgender/gender expansive population. Jillian will explore topics and issues based on her education\, experience in the field\, and lived personal experience. The audience will become familiar with what affirming healthcare looks like and the truths and misconceptions of gender affirming care. Basic language and terminology will also be discussed to develop an understanding of the transgender community. \nThis is a free event\, but registration is required. Register here.
